This ongoing series features films highlighted in the Academy Museum’s core exhibition Stories of Cinema and presents the diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers, the works they create, and the impact their art has on the world. Designed to celebrate the art of film while contex- tualizing and challenging dominant narratives about cinema, this film series illuminates the many histo- ries of moviemaking as told through a wide variety of experiences and perspectives.
