This ongoing series celebrates films that have been honored at the Academy Awards.
This October, we are screening five films that prove ghost stories exist in many forms. Traditionally re- served for the horror genre, spirits are also frequently conjured in comedies, thrillers, fantasies, and dramas, and can be found apparating throughout the history of the medium and across many national cinemas. At times representing grief, memories, and loss, phan- toms can also swoop in for comedic relief. This spooky season, we invite you to haunt our cinemas with us for five very different ghost stories.
