James and the Giant Peach

Sat, Nov 12 | 11am | TMT

Following the success of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Henry Selick’s next feature was an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children's novel about an English orphan boy who flies away to New York City on a giant enchanted peach to escape the wrath of his wicked aunts with the help of magical anthropomorphic insects. Mixing live action and stop-motion animation, this zany offbeat adventure, while visually surreally grim and macabre, is equally chock-full of magic and hope.
